Looks like somebody needs to remind Engle that ex-gay ministry doesn't work. Even its staunchest supporters, like Robert Gagnon, don't believe that it works for most LGBT people. Somebody also needs to remind Engle that Christians like him -- including many LGBT Christians themselves -- have been praying for decades for deliverance from their non-heterosexual orientations. Why will his prayer work any better than their dreams?

Lou Engle Dreams of 100,000 Ex-Gays Rising Up & Healing Gays of AIDS
Lou Engle is an anti-gay Christian leader. Like many of Christian leaders, he has a dream... Though it's pretty whack. Engle dreams of 100,00 gays and lesbians rising up in a wave of ex-gay ministry, bringing about "radical salvations and healings of AIDS". Check it out:

Lou Engle is not anti-gay. He is against false sexual behavior.
"Hate the actions of sin but love the people who do them."
Talk to ex-gays if you need more info.
As I noted in my article, most of the ex-gay groups and supporters don't actually make gay people into ex-gays.
If someone wants to puruse ex-gay programming, I'm more than happy to let them walk that path. Most that I've known who've done that haven't actually become ex-gay and many have found themselves and their families scarred by the experience, but I don't have any power to prevent them from this type of self-harm experience.
