Well, they are certainly pushing the envelope with this title. But again, I wonder if their marketing strategy isn't unfocused. On one extreme, sugary fairy tales with Betty and Veronica, and on the other extreme, zombie horror. What is the Archie brand? Do they really know anymore?
I'm not sure I'm going to read this; zombies aren't my thing, but to Stuffed Animal's point about the brand, I get what you mean. On the other hand, I kind of find it exciting that Archie basically has thrown the chains off and almost anything goes. Adult characters in Life With Archie? No problem. Dead characters? No problem. All kinds of new interpretations of characters by Fernando Ruiz etc? That's fine too. Each different concept can be marketed to different demographics. Still, I hope the don't abandon the silly teenage stories that made them famous.
