2013's Most Popular American Breed? It's the Labrador Retriever!

The American Kennel Club announced the 10 "Most Popular Dogs in the U.S. in 2013." The most popular dog last year? It was the Labrador Retriever! This particular breed of dog has been the number one American dog for the past 23 years.

Curious if your dog made the cut? Check this out:
2013 Most Popular Dogs in the U.S.
1. Labrador Retriever
2. German Shepherd Dog
3. Golden Retriever
4. Beagle
5. Bulldog
6. Yorkshire Terrier
7. Boxer
8. Poodle
9. Rottweiler
10. Dachshund
The AKC also noted renewed interest in a variety of other breeds, including Giant Schnauzers, Keeshonden, Nova Scotia Duck Tolling Retrievers, Irish Terriers, Kerry Blue Terriers, Lakeland Terriers, Sussex Spaniels, and Dandie Dinmont Terriers. Yeah, I've never heard of most of the dogs from that latter bunch either. But it's still cool to see others taking an interest in them!
