Overnight Armed Robbery at the Mormon Trek Kum & Go in Iowa City

There was an armed robbery here in Iowa City late last night/early this morning. KGAN reports that two men robbed the Kum & Go gas station on Mormon Trek at 3:00 AM this morning. One of the suspects stood guard while the other held a gun at the cashier and demanded the money. He then jumped over the counter and pulled the money from the cash register himself. Both men then escaped on foot.

Here are descriptions of the two robbers:
* Suspect #1 (who entered the store) was a black male approximately 5'9" - 5'11", 160-170 lbs., wearing a blue hooded sweatshirt, tan work boots, and dark long pants with his face covered with a white mask. 
* Suspect #2 (who served as the lookout) was described as a black male, approximately 5'9" - 5'11", 150-170 lbs., wearing dark colored pants, dark colored shoes with white soles, a dark colored sweatshirt, and covering his head with a red mask. 
People are encouraged to contact the Iowa City Area CrimeStoppers at 319-358-8477 with any tips that lead to the arrest of these suspects. If you give a good tip and leads to a successful arrest, you could be eligible for a cash reward of up to $1,000.
