Des Moines Neighborhood Under Attack from Rafter of Wild Turkeys

Residents of Des Moines, IA, are seeking shelter following reports that wild turkeys are attacking vehicles:
Dottie Bauer told KCCI on Friday that two wild turkeys attacked her car around noon near East 38th Street and Douglas Avenue. Bauer said she saw them attack three other cars, trying to keep anyone from getting past them. Bauer sent KCCI a photo of the damage to her car caused by the turkeys showing deep scratches on the driver's side.
Des Moines police also responded late last week to a 911 call after a women reported that she was stuck in her car and couldn't get out because of the vicious birds!
